Dianne Hillier is the Project Leader Learning City with Wollongong City Council. She brings over twenty years’ experience in stakeholder, business and project management, and partnership development, working in diverse sectors including tertiary and secondary education, community services, banking, artist management and small business. Dianne is passionate about: equipping Wollongong City to engage with our community in establishing a Wollongong Learning City Strategy and Plan; establishing a cross-sector steering group to drive that strategy forward, helping solve complex problems and building social capital; and importantly, providing lifelong learning opportunities for all. Dianne embraces lifelong learning herself from the formal to the non-formal and informal, including a Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Education (Theatre and English), Herrmann Brain Dominance Instrument certification, Mental Health First Aid, Understanding Dementia, small group facilitator training, life coaching, woodwork, dance or a conversation with a new person. As Project Leader, she will collaborate with lifelong learning stakeholders across Wollongong City Council and the Local Government Area to position Wollongong for membership of the UNESCO Global Network of Learning Cities.
